I've begun looking into more illustrative representations of similar subjects, as well as examples of work that suits the mood we're thinking of to gain some inspiration.
There is a very cohesive style throughout - lots of sketchy styled hand drawn imagery. The loose and almost childlike pencil lines gives for a really genuine and honest feel whilst also appearing quite playful. This is quite engaging to look at as they feel like they've been sketched there right before you and feel very 'human'.
The mix of slightly 'distressed' photo prints, pencil lines canvas texture feel organic and analogue which lends well in portraying the human nature of the company and its charitable aims, as well as linking back to the material of the shoes themselves.
The combination of text and visuals is a good way of putting the story across in a fun but understandable and informative way.
This fairly quirky depiction of snowboarding/skiing is cool and would maybe work well to brand a company such as DECE in a more quirky and abstract way.
The multi layers and colours add impact to this piece and I think the way they support and strengthen the main illustration is interesting.
The line work and combination with the watercolour in these sketches look amazing and very organic. I really like the contrast achieved here - there is a real accent on the bear which breathes life into it.
A couple of DECE's model shots - perhaps useful for reference.
