Brief for Brochure - Jennie Clark

To ensure the brochure for Dece fulfills its purpose, i have written up a brief for myself to follow. This will allow me to keep on track whilst designing, and make sure i am designing for the user. I have written the brief in question format so that i am continually asking myself, am i answering these questions with the design of the brochure? If i follow this brief then i should be well on the way to creating a very effective brochure for Dece.

BRIEF

To create a catalogue/brochure that introduces the audience to the Dece brand and it's products.

  • Remember the target audience at all times - Is the content, layout, voice and feel of the brochure suitable for them?
  • Is there a balance between image, type and illustration?
  • Is the format and purpose of the brochure consistent throughout?
  • Does the writing match the brand's 'voice'?
  • Do the colours being used match the chosen colour scheme for our branding?
  • Will the target audience want to pick the brochure up and look through it? Is the front cover invitational? Do the first few pages make an impression?
  • Are the images of sports being used exciting and inspirational, yet achievable?
  • Will the brochure achieve more brand awareness for Dece?
