Further Logo Development - Jennie Clark

After the group had decided on the strongest logo design, i took this design foward for development. I have been looking at a range of appropriate colours for the design. These are Pantone solid matte colours, which I checked against the Pantone colour book.

I showed the above colours to the group and we mutually agreed that the darker colours work better. The darker the colour, the easier it will be to incorporate into any application. We also agreed that the blues were the most appropriate colours for our branding concept. The blues match very well with the earthy colours we are planning on using. We want to use a rich blue colour to contrast with the brown earthy colours being used elsewhere. We will definitely end up with variations of the logo in terms of colour - our primary logo will be the blue colour we choose, then a secondary version in a brown colour (also still to be chosen), and finally a black version. This means that there will be a logo suitable for every application across the brand.

With this in mind, as a group we looked through the Pantone colour book once again and wittled our choices down to 7 blues and 3 browns, of which we will choose one blue and one brown for the final logos. These can be seen below. We will review these colours at the next meeting and make final decisions on the colours.
